Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Delhi & Explore Old and New Delhi +

Upon arrival in Delhi, your guide or driver will greet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. After check-in, your first day of sightseeing begins with a tour of Old Delhi and New Delhi.

In Old Delhi, you’ll experience the heart of India’s history and culture. First, visit Jama Masjid, one of India’s largest mosques. You’ll then take a rickshaw ride through the bustling streets of Chandni Chowk, a lively market area filled with spices, textiles, and ancient shops.

In New Delhi, you’ll see a mix of colonial-era architecture and modern landmarks:

  • India Gate: A war memorial dedicated to Indian soldiers.
  • Qutub Minar: A UNESCO World Heritage site, this towering minaret is an incredible example of Mughal architecture.
  • Humayun’s Tomb: A peaceful garden tomb that inspired the design of the Taj Mahal.
  • Lotus Temple: A Bahá’í House of Worship with its unique lotus-shaped design.

Day 2 Delhi Sightseeing & Travel to Agra +

Your second day starts with a visit to some of the most iconic landmarks in New Delhi:

  • Red Fort: Explore the impressive red sandstone fort, once the seat of Mughal emperors.
  • Raj Ghat: The memorial site of Mahatma Gandhi, where his ashes were scattered.
  • Chandni Chowk: If you didn’t have time the day before, today you can explore the vibrant markets and perhaps pick up some souvenirs.

In the evening, you’ll travel to Agra (about a 3-hour drive), where you’ll check into your hotel for the night.

Day 3 Sunrise at the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and Drive to Jaipur +

Start your day early with a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal. This is the best time to experience its beauty, with the sun rising behind the white marble structure. After soaking in the views, return to your hotel for breakfast.

Next, you’ll explore Agra Fort, a stunning red sandstone fort that served as the Mughal emperors’ residence. From here, you’ll have great views of the Taj Mahal.

Later, in the afternoon, you’ll take the 2-hour drive to Jaipur, stopping at Fatehpur Sikri along the way. This ancient Mughal city is a UNESCO World Heritage site and offers beautiful palaces, mosques, and tombs.

Once you arrive in Jaipur, check into your hotel and relax after your long journey.

Day 4 Jaipur City Tour – Explore the Pink City +

On your fourth day, you’ll have a full day to explore the royal Pink City of Jaipur, known for its beautiful palaces and vibrant markets.

Start with a visit to Amber Fort, one of the most iconic forts in India. You’ll ride an elephant to the fort, just as royal families did centuries ago. The fort’s grand architecture and stunning views of the surrounding landscape are truly unforgettable.

Afterward, visit the City Palace, a beautiful blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture, where you’ll learn about the royal history of Jaipur. Then, head to Jantar Mantar, an ancient observatory with giant instruments used for astronomical observations.

Don’t miss a photo stop at the iconic Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace), known for its intricate latticework and hundreds of small windows. You’ll also visit Jal Mahal, a palace in the middle of Man Sagar Lake.

In the evening, explore Jaipur’s bustling markets, famous for their textiles, jewelry, and handicrafts.

Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 5 Jaipur – Departure or More Exploration +

On your final day, you can spend your morning shopping in Jaipur or visiting any attractions you may have missed.

Alternatively, take a relaxing stroll through the local markets or visit a nearby temple.

Afterward, you’ll be driven back to Delhi (about 5-6 hours) for your departure.

If you have a late-night flight, we’ll make sure you have plenty of time to get to the airport.
